St. Louis County - Property Tax Relief

Property tax relief will be available to homeowners who experienced major property damage due to the recent floods. Under Missouri law, if a residential property is uninhabitable for 30 days or more due to a natural disaster, the Assessor’s Office can pro-rate the 2022 property value for the time the occupant is displaced.

To qualify for residential property tax relief, homeowners should keep copies of repair estimates, FEMA/SEMA documents, and other materials related to property damage.

Property owners should complete and submit the following questionnaire to report their damage to the Assessor’s Office: http://ow.ly/qbkv50KTtom
