Tyler Metz, former Rockwood Summit Senior High School standout, played on Saturday, Feb. 1 in NCAA Division II baseball game

On Saturday, Feb. 1, former Rockwood Summit Senior High School standout Tyler Metz’s current college team, the Emporia State Hornets, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm.

The game took place at Wendell Simmons Field. This was their first matchup against the Savage Storm this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2 at 3:30 p.m. at Wendell Simmons Field against East Central Tigers.
