At this week's meeting, the County Council accepted a $1,187,812 grant from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS) for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.
The WIC program was established to provide nutrition education and breastfeeding support, nutritious supplemental food, and referrals to other health and social services at no cost to eligible persons.
