African Schoolhouse No. 4 at Faust Park is closer to completion thanks to the hard work by volunteers from Green Trails Church - United Methodist this weekend.
Volunteers worked through the November chill filling in the gaps between the logs with pieces of wood. The one-room school cabin, built in 1894, is the oldest Black schoolhouse in Missouri. The school was relocated to the park last year after it was donated to St. Louis County.
