You might do a double-take tomorrow seeing St. Louis County plow and salt trucks on the road. Don't worry, there isn't snow in the forecast! (In fact, it looks like it'll be a beautiful day!) The County is doing its annual training ahead of winter.

The County's plow fleet consists of 115 vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
The County's DOT is responsible for 3,200 lane miles of roads and streets.
The winter response team operates out of five district facilities - two in North County, one in West County and two in South County.
By the time winter storm season arrives, St. Louis County DOT expects to have 37,000 tons of rock salt collectively stored in its salt domes.
